  3. PURPOSE:  To enable the interaction of PARANET SysOps and
  4. MUFON Members in the pursuit of knowledge and assistance in
  5. the investigation of the UFO Phenomenon thru this message
  6. echo.
  7.  
  8.  
  9. MEMBERSHIP:  Membership in this echo is open to the
  10. following: PARANET SYSOPS
  11.            MUFON MEMBERS
  12.  
  13. NO OTHERS ARE ALLOWED ACCESS TO THIS ECHO OR THE MESSAGES
  14. CONTAINED THEREIN.
  15.  
  16. Membership in good standing in the above organizations is a
  17. requirement of participation in this echo.  There will be NO
  18. EXCEPTIONS!
  19.  
  20.  
  21. PARANET SYSOPS:  Thru inclusion of your ParaNet Node in this
  22. echo, you are required to and are responsible for the
  23. following;
  24.  
  25. 1] Ensure the availability of this echo to MUFON members
  26. only, thru advertisement within your individual BBS Board.
  27.  
  28. 2] Ensure the active membership status of each MUFON member
  29. allowed to participate in this echo thru your board by direct
  30. contact with the MUFON State Director of your state.

  33. GENERAL RULES:
  34.  
  35. 1.  No anonymous messages may be posted in this echo.
  36.  
  37. 2.  No aliases allowed.  Each message will include the
  38.     senders REAL NAME.  It will be the responsibility of the
  39.     SysOp to enforce this.
  40.  
  41. 3.  Personal attacks are *NOT* allowed.  *ALL* participants
  42.     will be treated with respect.
  43.  
  44. 4.  References (quoting) will be included if it will clarify
  45.     the message.
  46.  
  47. 5.  Messages must conform to the theme of this echo only;
  48.  
  49.     Investigation, Knowledge, Assistance of and pertaining to
  50.     the UFO Phenomenon.

  53. ENFORCEMENT:  Any User who violates the above policies will
  54. be warned by the Moderator.  After THREE warnings, the USER
  55. will be locked out for FOURTEEN DAYS.  A second lockout will
  56. be for THIRTY DAYS.  A third lockout will be PERMANENT.
  57.  
  58. Users who believe that a lockout towards then is unfair can
  59. request that the SysOp plead their case with the Moderator.
  60. In this situation, all net SysOps will be asked to vote on
  61. the matter.  Vote by the net will be binding on all
  62. concerned.

  65. MODERATOR:  During the initial setup of the MUFONET ECHO,
  66. Moderators will be Jerry Woody, ParaNet SysOp of ALPHA-GAMMA, and
  67. John Komar, ParaNet SysOp of TAU-DELTA.
  68.  
  69. For consideration of the position of Moderator, a candidate will
  70. be a member of both ParaNet (SysOp Status), and MUFON.
